Summer Greetings

Hello Everyone, hope you all are having a good summer! and hope you all are getting ready to come back to teach next year...! Having the opportunity to teach my fellow internationals has been such a joy...We are so close together that even though summer is in our way, we still encourage each other thru the phone, and make sure everyone is ok...But best of all, my class seems to have a genuine interest in G-d ever since Valentine's Day when I introduced them to the 'revolutionary' thought of Love is patient, love is kind...etc...They asked who wrote it...Then, I told them G-d! Since then, they don't stop asking about H-m and want to know more! The spanish want to be thought bible...the romanians want to deepen their knowledge about Jesus, the chinese want to learn the history behind the bible and the muslim want to know why Jesus is G-d...I love that everyone of them have questions...I love that they are asking...One day will realize how great G-d is! Meanwhile, it is a joy to see them get closer to one another because Jesus Christ. I am just a mediator, an example, a teacher to them...G-d is the one who does it all!

Please if you can, come back and teach this year...and if not, please let people know about the ESL program...You will be blessed by your students...!

Have a great day,
The Webmaster!

ps) Please if you have anything to share...go ahead! Will love to hear how G-d is working in your students life and yours!

ESL Potluck/Resurrection Party

Just wanted to share with you all a glimpse of what happened this past weekend.
Almost the whole True Beginners class came to the party. It was awesome....the Romanians were soooooooooo very sweet...They came ready to party and smile for hours!
They also brought some yummy food that you surely will love to take at least a bite...!
The Mexicans were funny as always, they brought their spontaneous self with them...and of course the sooooo waited hugs hahaha... and the only Chinese he surprised us with his knowledge of Spanglish! After our feast, we started the gospel part. Everybody squeezed in the den and formally introduced each other and told us what they do for "Easter". We learned that the Romanians and chinese crack eggs and said Jesus is Risen and that the Mexicans dont do anything with eggs but throw water to each other...! After this educational introduction, Julie shared how/why we celebrated Jesus Resurrection...then, We all sang How Beautiful as the scenes of the crucifixion and resurrection showed on the screen...It was awesome to see my students sing for Jesus...Then "mom and I" involved everybody into a skit...somebody was G-d, Adam, Eve, Jesus, the snake:satan...Oh wiiii..."Mom" shared in summary G-d's plan since the beginning, why Jesus had to die, and what the resurrection was so important...Everybody understood. Afterwards we gave them a bible...they were very thankful...their eyes were shinning as if they had gotten a very precious gift...They opened it right away...Then, we mingled some...The spanish were very touched...they wanted to know if the chapel had a bible study in spanish, they were ready to sign up...! The Romanians, they invited us to their home next month to celebrate Jesus with them and one of them will be coming to precept...Finally, the chinese men say thank you for the good news that we had told him...for which I grabbed my chinese proyect and share in his own language the history of Jesus...He was amazed to see that ancient chinese characters have the principle of the bible into them...He started reading and smiling...like he had found a big clue!

Well, this is it ...G-d is great!
